Boston Dynamics Appoints Rohit Prasad as Chief Executive Officer

Boston Dynamics has appointed Rohit Prasad as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 7, 2026.

At Boston Dynamics, Prasad will use his experience in Physical AI to help bring advanced robotic systems to market. He will focus on developing intelligent robots that improve safety, productivity and efficiency across industrial and commercial environments.

Prasad’s appointment will support Boston Dynamics’ Physical AI strategy by combining advanced robotics with AI to develop and commercialize intelligent machines. He brings decades of experience in turning AI technologies into products and businesses.

Before joining Boston Dynamics, Prasad was Senior Vice President and Head Scientist for Alexa and Artificial General Intelligence at Amazon. During his 12 years at Amazon, he helped build Alexa from its early stages into a large-scale consumer AI service used in millions of households.
