California-Based AEVEX Appoints Chelsey Thomas as Vice President of Government Affairs

In her new role, she will lead the company’s government engagement strategy at the federal and local levels.

Thomas will also build relationships with lawmakers and government associations and help shape policies that support AEVEX’s mission and growth.

Thomas brings more than 25 years of experience in national security, federal policy, and working with government leaders and Congress.

Most recently, she served as Vice President of Government Relations at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led government advocacy and worked with Congress, the White House, and senior federal officials on national security and budget priorities.

Previously, Thomas spent more than 10 years as a Professional Staff Member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where she advised the Committee Chairman on CIA and covert-action oversight.

Her work included reviewing budgets and programs for major intelligence initiatives, supporting investigations and legislation, and managing classified information for annual intelligence bills. She also represented U.S. congressional oversight priorities in engagements across several regions, including the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.
