FedEx Freight Appoints Michael Rodgers as Chief Commercial Officer 

FedEx Freight has appointed Michael Rodgers as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial and Technology Officer, effective immediately.

In his new role, Rodgers will lead sales, customer experience, marketing, and communications, while continuing to oversee the company’s technology operations.

Rodgers has served as FedEx Freight’s Chief Technology Officer since June 1, 2025. During this time, he has helped guide the company’s technology development as an independent business.

The expanded role brings FedEx Freight’s commercial and technology strategies closer together as the company continues to strengthen its position as the largest North American less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier.

Rodgers brings more than 30 years of experience across customer strategy, revenue growth, digital products, data, technology, marketing, operations, and business transformation.

Before joining FedEx Freight, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Technology and Chief Information Officer at Pilot Company, a major fuel supplier and the largest operator of travel centres in North America.

Earlier, Rodgers served as Executive Vice President, Omni-Channel at JCPenney and spent more than 20 years as Executive Vice President, Chief Information and Operations Officer at Saks Fifth Avenue.
