Nace.AI, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a metamodel that autonomously improves enterprise workflows, has raised $21.5 million in a Seed funding round led by Walden Catalyst with participation from General Catalyst and angel investors.
The company plans to use the funding to launch its new product in a research preview, introducing a model that uses 100+ specialized AI agents to handle complex workflows. At the same time, human experts review and approve the final results.
Nace.AI uses a MetaModel that turns company policies and procedures into small, specialized AI models built for real-world business data. Unlike general AI, these models learn continuously from daily workflows, adapting to each company’s environment, rules and standards, while improving over time to deliver more consistent, accurate and reliable results for critical tasks.
Nace.AI’s platform coordinates multiple specialized models that work together on large amounts of unstructured data, such as financial records, operational data, and legal documents, turning it into clear, structured insights ready for decision-making. Every output is fully explainable, with traceable reasoning linked to source documents, allowing experts to quickly review and validate results like audits, reports, research, risk analysis, compliance, and financial models with confidence.

For many years, professional services have been charged by the hour, but Nace.AI replaces this model by using software to complete tasks quickly while human experts focus on reviewing and approving the final results, making the process faster and more efficient.
Nace.AI is launching its product in research preview for non-technical professionals, allowing companies to upload unstructured data and quickly create outputs for finance, audit, and compliance, while also growing its network of experts who review and validate the AI-generated results.

“We are backing Dos, Zhanibek, and Sudha as they tackle high-stakes workflows across enterprise audit and financial operations where general-purpose AI falls short,” said Shankar Chandran, Partner at Walden Catalyst. “By combining research driven models with human validation, Nace is already delivering a step change in productivity, with the level of precision, and explainability these workflows require.”
“What stood out immediately is Nace.AI’s focus on specialized intelligence with small models for real enterprise workflows,” said Quentin Clark Managing Director at General Catalyst. “They are building end to end systems that actually execute work inside businesses, with a clear path to measurable impact.”
“The core technology focuses on solving two of the industry’s most persistent challenges: LLM personalization and continuous knowledge updating,” said Dos Baha, Founder and CEO of Nace.AI. “Our AI agents continuously learn and adapt to company-specific environments, powered by our MetaModel architecture. We execute work at scale, while experts provide final judgment and accountability. That combination unlocks a completely new model for business operations.”
