NileBuilt® Acquisition Pursuit & Strategic Advisors

Jun 20, 2026 | By Startuprise io

NileBuilt, Corp.’s Board of Directors and Officers have unanimously approved pursuing an acquisition of the company’s business related to its Generation-2 composite building technology.

To support this effort, Gerald “Jerry” Howard, former CEO of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and Thomas “Tom” Grable, former President of Tri Pointe Homes, Inc. in Southern California, have joined the company as Strategic Advisors.

In 2001, Scott Long, NileBuilt’s CEO/CTO, developed a Generation-1 technology that Dow Building Materials later acquired—long said that Dow recognized the need to move away from wood-framed construction toward advanced materials.

He added that today the situation is similar, but the demand and stakes are even higher. He believes Generation-2 uses advanced materials that can be scaled without factories or proprietary parts and without increasing construction costs, offering a potential solution to the housing crisis.

Strong support from policymakers, code officials, fire authorities, insurers, builders, and consumers has exceeded expectations.

Demand is higher this time due to more frequent and severe climate events, which have reduced access to affordable homeowners insurance and slowed large-scale housing production in many U.S. markets. The platform also offers potential margin expansion and creates three new revenue streams that most current builders cannot access, including insurance and carbon credits.
