Saile Raises $2.2M in Pre-Seed Funding Led by Matchstick Ventures

Saile, a NYC-based developer of an automated healthcare staffing and clinician credentialing platform, has raised $2.2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Matchstick Ventures, with participation from Headwater Ventures.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its AI agent infrastructure, grow its automated marketplace features, and strengthen integrations with healthcare technology platforms.
Saile currently works across many healthcare settings, including ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care clinics, telemedicine platforms, AI training labs, and hospitals. The company supports these organizations through flexible staffing models, including per diem staffing, locum tenens, and specialized consulting services.
Healthcare facilities often spend heavily on temporary doctors while qualified local physicians remain unused because of slow credentialing and paperwork processes. Saile streamlines the entire process—from sourcing to credentialing—helping hospitals reduce vendor complexity and enabling doctors to start working faster.

Saile provides physicians with a universal credential passport—a portable, continuously updated profile of verified credentials that can be used across different healthcare roles, including locum tenens, telemedicine, and per diem work. This allows clinicians to move between opportunities more easily and work with greater flexibility.
Healthcare facilities can directly access Saile’s pool of pre vetted physicians without relying on recruiters, agency fees, or repeated onboarding processes. The platform also consolidates payments from multiple types of work into a single system, allowing physicians to manage shifts, and receive compensation through a single platform.
Behind the platform, Saile uses five AI agents to automate tasks that usually take months of manual work, including recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, staffing, and compliance management.

"Saile is tackling a deeply embedded inefficiency in healthcare that has gone largely unchanged for decades," said Ryan Broshar, Partner at Matchstick Ventures. "What Marc and Taylor are building isn't a new staffing agency, it's the infrastructure layer beneath every staffing decision in healthcare."
"Most people assume the issue in healthcare staffing is a lack of doctors, but what we've seen is something different. There's a large, underutilized workforce that simply can't move between systems efficiently," said Dr. Marc Ayoub, Co-Founder of Saile, Neurocritical care physician, and Assistant Professor at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine. "We're building the infrastructure that sits in between, so a physician who is already vetted in one system doesn't have to start from zero every time they want to work somewhere new."
About Saile
Founded by Marc Ayoub, Saile is a physician-founded healthcare staffing and credentialing platform designed to make it easier for healthcare facilities and clinicians to connect. The platform provides clinicians with a secure, portable credential profile they can use across multiple job opportunities. At the same time, healthcare facilities can directly access a pool of pre-vetted local and regional professionals without relying on recruiters, agency fees, or the time-consuming onboarding process.
