California-Based Sensydia Raises $6M in New Funding

SUMMARY

  • Sensydia raised over $6M in funding.
  • Funds will support clinical trials and product launch.
  • Sensydia develops AI tools to assess heart function.

Sensydia, a Los Angeles-based medical technology company developing non-invasive cardiac assessment solutions, has raised over $6 million in the initial closing of a new funding round.

The round was led by Colle Capital Partners with participation from Orlando Health Ventures.

The company will use the funding to advance its Cardiac Performance System through clinical studies toward FDA authorization and prepare for its commercial launch.

What is Sensydia?

Sensydia develops the Cardiac Performance System (CPS), a medical technology platform designed to assess heart function without invasive catheterization.

The system collects acoustic and electrical signals and analyzes them using artificial intelligence. It is designed to provide clinicians with assessments of pulmonary pressure to help identify congestion and support the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

The technology aims to make cardiac assessments available in a range of clinical settings, including offices and outpatient clinics.

Why the Funding Matters

Sensydia will use the funding to advance its Cardiac Performance System through the ACOUSTIC-1 study toward FDA authorization.

The capital will also support preparations for the system’s commercial launch.

"The most important medical technology companies create categories rather than compete in them," said Bill Hawkins, retired Chairman and CEO of Medtronic and an advisor to Sensydia. "Sensydia has the makings of one: a new way to bring pressure information to the point of care, and the foundation to scale it."

"Cardiologists treating heart failure need the right metric, in the right place, at the right time. We built CPS to give clinicians objective pressure information in the office, where therapy decisions are made," said Anthony Arnold, CEO of Sensydia.

Market and Business Growth

Sensydia is developing CPS for non-invasive assessment of cardiac function, particularly for patients with heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

The system has received FDA Breakthrough Device designation. In July 2026, a new Category III CPT code, 1036T, took effect for non-invasive hemodynamic assessment based on acoustic and electrical signals, algorithmic analysis and physician review.
