Simmons Bank Announces Lisa Hunter’s Retirement As Executive Vice President

Simmons Bank has announced the retirement of Lisa Hunter, Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer, after a 30-year career with the bank.

During her time at Simmons, Hunter helped launch the bank's first corporate website and introduced customer-focused services such as online banking, treasury management, and e-statements.

As Simmons expanded across six states, Hunter helped standardize operations and create a more consistent customer experience. She also helped establish the bank's centralized call center and held leadership roles in operations and technology during periods of major growth.

Hunter later became Simmons first Chief Data Officer, where she focused on improving data governance, data literacy and data-driven decision-making. She also helped establish the banks Data Office and strengthen its reporting and analytics capabilities.

Hunter is from Pine Bluff and has been active in the community. She has served on the Pine Bluff Community Foundation and United Way boards, including as a campaign chair. In 2022, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson appointed her to a seven-year term on the Arkansas State Board of Education.
