Tenet Security Raises $6M Seed Funding Led by MizMaa Ventures
Jun 18, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Tenet Security, a NYC-based cybersecurity company focused on securing autonomous AI agents, has raised $6 million in a Seed funding round led by The Westly Group and MizMaa Ventures.
The company plans to use the funds to continue developing its products and expand its go-to-market efforts.
The company is built around a patent-pending technology called Agent-side Simulation, which predicts and tests an AI agent’s likely next actions before they are carried out in production systems. If the system detects a potentially risky action, Tenet can stop it before any damage occurs and explain why the action was blocked.
Tenet was created to solve a growing problem for enterprises: AI agents are gaining access to important systems, data, and workflows, but existing security tools often cannot see what those agents do after deployment.

Traditional security tools can monitor users, devices, or prompts, but they often lack visibility into autonomous agent behavior. As companies move beyond chatbots and deploy AI-agents that can write code, access databases, use applications and make decisions on their own security teams are finding it increasingly difficult to monitor and control these new AI identities in real time.
Before launching Tenet, Sternberg and Poran helped build Cisco’s AI Defense platform and worked on some of the company’s early efforts to address threats targeting autonomous AI systems. Earlier, they founded Wild Pointer, a cybersecurity company that served Fortune 500 customers and grew into a business generating seven-figure annual revenue. Both founders have also spoken at major cybersecurity conferences such as DEF CON and Black Hat.
As companies rapidly adopted AI agents, the founders realized that existing security tools had little visibility into what these agents actually do after deployment. They believed the biggest challenge in AI security would not be protecting the models themselves, but managing and controlling the actions of autonomous agents once they gain access to real systems, data, and business workflows.
Tenet’s goal is to help enterprises deploy autonomous AI agents at scale without creating unmanaged security risks. The platform gives security teams more confidence to support AI adoption across their organizations.
Its technology focuses on protecting AI agents while they are operating. It is designed to stop threats such as unauthorized access, data theft, agent manipulation, and “Agentjacking,” where malicious instructions hidden in emails, documents, logs, databases, or other data sources can alter an agent’s behavior. Unlike traditional security tools that alert teams after suspicious activity occurs, Tenet is built to prevent risky actions before they happen.
“We're increasingly seeing AI agents become part of the attack path itself," said Nevo Poran, co-founder, and CTO of Tenet Security. "Attackers can manipulate agents to access sensitive data, abuse privileges, or take actions on their behalf in ways traditional security tools were never designed to detect. The challenge isn't simply monitoring prompts or API traffic, but understanding, and controlling agent behavior in real time. The only place left to catch these threats is at runtime, in the moment an agent decides to act,” Poran added.
"AI agents may be the biggest productivity unlock enterprises have seen in decades, which is why organizations are moving so quickly to deploy them," said Barak Sternberg, co-founder and CEO of Tenet Security. "But we're also entering a world where autonomous agents are interacting with systems, data, and other agents in ways most security tools were never designed to understand. That creates an entirely new security layer that requires a fundamentally different approach to protection."
About Tenet Security
Founded by Barak Sternberg and Nevo Poran, Tenet Security is a security platform built to protect autonomous AI agents. The company helps enterprises discover, assess, monitor and secure AI agents operating across their systems. Created by experienced offensive security researchers, Tenet provides visibility, runtime protection and threat prevention, enabling organizations to deploy and manage AI driven workflows at scale safely.
