The company will use the funding to advance its Phase 2 clinical programs and continue developing its new pepsin inhibitor platform for treating reflux disease.

The funding is a major milestone for the company and will help advance Phase 2 clinical trials of its lead treatment for laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) and proton pump inhibitor (PPI)-refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It will also support the continued development of N-Zyme's pepsin inhibitor platform for treating different types of reflux disease.

Unlike traditional treatments that mainly reduce stomach acid, N-Zymes experimental therapy is designed to block pepsin, a digestive enzyme that is believed to play a major role in reflux related tissue damage and ongoing symptoms. By targeting the root cause of the disease, the company aim's to offer a more effective treatment for reflux patients.

N-Zyme has made strong progress over the past year, including launching its Phase 2 clinical trial for laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), expanding its global patent portfolio and gaining growing support from investors, healthcare professionals and strategic partners.

With the new funding, the company plans to move its Phase 2 clinical program forward, strengthen strategic partnerships, and continue building its biotechnology business to develop better treatments for people living with reflux disease.
