Apr 15, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Yoga Joint, a NYC-based infrared fitness brand, has raised $5.5 million in a funding round led by Adam Shane, Port Street Ventures, and Jon Canarick.

The round also saw other investors, including Jared Solomon, Alex Alimanestianu, Anthony DiMaggio, and Isaac Chera.

The company plans to use the funds to open its first locations in Fall 2026 and expand to more than 15 studios across New York City and nearby markets by 2030.

To support the New York launch, Shane is also working with agencies like Farrynheight for marketing and creative work and AIIR for communications to help shape Yoga Joint’s brand and grow its presence in the wellness space.

The brand plans to quickly expand beyond Manhattan and Brooklyn into nearby areas like Westchester, Long Island, Greenwich, Jersey City, and Hoboken. Under Shane’s leadership, Yoga Joint New York will offer its FIIT + FLOW workouts with a premium, lifestyle-focused experience, combining intense training, mindfulness, and infrared heat benefits in one place.

“This funding is about more than money—it’s about building the right team to grow in one of the most competitive fitness markets in the world,” said Adam Shane, Franchise Owner of Yoga Joint. “We’ve brought together experienced operators and investors who know how to scale fitness brands. With this support, we can expand Yoga Joint into New York effectively and thoughtfully.”

“Adam has a vision that goes beyond opening studios—he knows how to build brands people connect with,” said Brent Leffel, Managing Partner at Port Street Ventures. “He has strong experience scaling fitness businesses, but what sets him apart is his focus on people and culture. He builds great teams and experiences that keep customers coming back, which makes him the right leader for Yoga Joint in New York.”
