BNSF Railway’s Todd Podell Joins Board of Venti Technologies

At BNSF Railway, Todd Podell oversees the company's sourcing, procurement, supply chain strategy, facilities operations, and fuel management. He is responsible for managing supplier relationships and evaluating new technologies that can improve the railroad's operations.

BNSF operates a rail network spanning 32,500 route miles across 28 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. Podell also leads efforts to maximize supplier spending and create efficiencies across both BNSF and the broader Berkshire Hathaway organization.

Before joining BNSF Railway, Todd Podell held several senior leadership positions at Discover Financial Services, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement and Corporate Services Officer. He also held leadership roles in business transformation and supply chain at Novartis, McDonald's, and AMD.

Podell began his career as a trial attorney after earning a bachelor's degree in business from Arizona State University and a law degree from Marquette University Law School.
