Agilis Air Inc., a Youngstown, OH-based developer and manufacturer of low-cost, American-made drones and autonomy technologies, has raised $1.4 million in early funding.

The round saw backers including AgEagle Aerial Systems, North Coast Ventures, Vici Capital, and angel investors.

The company plans to use the funding to expand its operations and development efforts.

About Agilis Air

Founded in 2025 by Shawn Theiss and Yon Raz-Fridman, Agilis Air is an Ohio-based defense technology company developing low-cost, modular and NDAA-compliant unmanned systems manufactured entirely in the United States.

Its lead platform, Remora ARQ, is a Group 1 first-person-view aircraft designed for reconnaissance and tactical missions. The company says the aircraft costs $1,250 per unit, ships three weeks from order and uses a 100% U.S. supply chain.
