Harry Zhu named WSECU’s next President & Chief Executive Officer

Harry Zhu has been named the next President and CEO of WSECU and will join the credit union on September 21, 2026.

Zhu will succeed Gary Swindler, who is retiring next month after 37 years with the $5.1 billion credit union. He was selected after a nationwide search by WSECU's board of directors.
Harry Zhu most recently served as CEO of USAlliance Federal Credit Union in New York. He previously spent 13 years as a senior executive at Alliant Credit Union, where he held roles including Chief Retail Lending Officer, CFO, and Chief Risk Officer.

During his time at Alliant, Zhu led major transformation efforts that helped grow the credit union's assets from $7 billion to $18 billion, more than double its membership, and improve the member experience.
Zhu will help lead WSECU as it approaches its 70th anniversary in 2027, focusing on delivering more value to members, improving financial performance, and building strong teams.
He holds master's degrees in business administration and engineering from the University of Michigan and has experience in Fortune 500 leadership and strategic consulting. He will be based near WSECU's headquarters in Olympia, Washington.
