Most recently, Stubblefield served as Chief Banking Executive at a Texas community bank, where she led its commercial banking, private banking, wealth management, and trust businesses across several markets in the state. During her time there, the bank achieved two of the most profitable years in its history, with strong business growth, higher employee engagement, and improved overall performance.

Before that, she spent more than 10 years at a large regional bank. She served as Chief Fiduciary Officer and later led the private banking and wealth management business in Houston. Throughout her career, she has led commercial banking strategy, credit management, market expansion, deposit growth, and talent development across community and regional banks.

“Agility Bank was built to do something that Houston was lacking – a community bank that is serious about helping small and midsize businesses grow, especially those that have not historically had a seat at the table,” said Stubblefield. “When we combine exceptional bankers, disciplined execution and a deep commitment to our clients success, we strengthen both our communities and our company.”

“Donette is a proven leader here in the Houston banking community and we know that bringing her on as CEO will be transformational for Agility,” said Edna Meyer-Nelson, chairwoman of the Agility Bank board of directors. “She is highly motivated, collaborative and ready to drive our growth strategy into the next phase, delivering value for our staff and shareholders. We can’t wait to see the successes she brings to the bank.”
