Little Sparrows Technologies, a neonatal medical device startup secures $3million in seed funding. The supporters were kept a secret. The money will be used by the business to increase operations and development initiatives.

Little Sparrows Technologies is a medical device firm founded in 2013 by Harvard physicians Drs. Donna Brezinski, a neonatologist, and Gary Gilbert, a haematologist. The company’s mission is to discover novel solutions to improve babies’ well-being globally.

In hospital and home settings in the US and overseas, the company’s first commercially available equipment, bili-hutTM newborn phototherapy, provides quick and efficient treatment for jaundice in neonates. In 2019, it was granted FDA 510(k) approval.

Additionally, Douglas A. Treco, PhD, Georgia McGaughey, PhD, and Francis Kim were added to the board by the corporation.
