NeuralTrust Raises $20M in Seed Funding Led by Alstin Capital

Jun 18, 2026 | By Startuprise io

NeuralTrust, a NYC-based provider of a platform to secure AI agents, has raised $20 million in a Seed funding round led by Alstin Capital.

The round also saw participation from VentureFriends, Seaya, Kibo Ventures, Banc Sabadell, EA Ventures Plug and Play Fund, and Finaves, the venture capital fund of IESE Business School. It is also backed by public funding from the European Innovation Council and Spain’s State Research Agency (AEI).

The company plans to use the funds to improve integration across its products and expand into the European market. This comes as more enterprises begin deploying autonomous AI systems in production.

The investment comes as AI agents shift from testing to becoming a key part of enterprise systems, while governance struggles to keep up.

Gartner predicts that by 2027, 40% of enterprises will scale back or shut down AI agents due to governance issues discovered after real incidents in production. The risk is growing quickly, with Fortune 500 companies expected to run over 150,000 agents each by 2028, but only about 13% of companies currently feel ready to manage them.

Enterprise AI agents don’t operate in just one system. They run across many platforms and endpoints, making security harder to manage as more are added. NeuralTrust provides a unified enforcement layer that works across all of them.

Three products power this system. TrustGate is an agent gateway that manages every LLM, MCP, and tool call, acting as the main control point for all agent traffic. TrustGuard is a runtime security engine that detects and blocks threats across all platforms and endpoints where agents run, no matter how they are built or deployed. TrustLens is a posture management layer that discovers all agents in the enterprise and monitors their behavior inside and outside the security boundary.

NeuralTrust’s customers include AirEuropa, Abanca, Iberia, and Banc Sabadell, along with global banks, airlines, energy companies, and government agencies. Most of its customers (92%) generate over $1B in annual revenue, with 80% based in Europe and 20% international.

Independent analysts also recognize NeuralTrust as a leader in the AI security space. Gartner has named it a Representative Vendor in two Market Guides, KuppingerCole listed it as a Leader in its 2025 Leadership Compass for Generative AI Defense, and MarketsandMarkets ranked it as a Leader in its 2026 Agentic AI Security Quadrant.

"AI agents are now part of enterprise operations, but the controls protecting them are still catching up," said Joan Vendrell, Co-Founder, and CEO of NeuralTrust. "This round allows us to keep building the infrastructure layer that makes AI adoption measurable, governable and safe."
