Prosper AI Raises $30M in Series A Funding Round

Jun 23, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Prosper AI, a NYC-based provider of an artificial intelligence platform for patient journey management, has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz.

The round also saw participation from Base10, Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and Company Ventures.

The company plans to use the funding to grow its engineering and customer support teams, strengthen integrations with major electronic health record (EHR) platforms, and speed up adoption of its solutions among healthcare providers and health systems.

Healthcare providers increasingly recognize that scheduling an appointment is only the beginning of the patient journey. As organizations seek to automate processes such as insurance verification, patient billing, and scheduling, Prosper AI has become a preferred platform for helping ensure appointments are financially cleared before care is delivered.

Prosper AI’s customer base includes several leading healthcare organizations, such as Preferred Dermatology, Jackson Memorial Hospital—one of the largest hospitals in Florida—and Athenahealth, a major ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) provider in the United States.

Unlike earlier healthcare AI tools that focused mainly on appointment scheduling, Prosper AI supports the entire patient journey. The platform can answer patient calls, schedule appointments directly in electronic health record (EHR) systems, verify insurance coverage, automate patient billing, and contact insurance companies when additional information is required.

By automating these processes from start to finish, Prosper AI helps healthcare providers reduce administrative costs by more than 40% while giving patients a clearer understanding of their insurance coverage and expected costs before receiving care. The platform manages both patient and insurance workflows, from appointment booking through reimbursement.

“Healthcare providers don't want separate tools for scheduling, insurance verification, and billing,” said Xavier de Gracia, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Prosper AI. “They want a single platform capable of managing the workflows that determine whether care happens and whether providers ultimately get paid. That's what we've built, and it's why providers, health systems, and healthcare technology companies are choosing Prosper AI.”

“We reviewed multiple AI platforms, and Prosper AI consistently delivered the strongest performance, now handling thousands of conversations per day across multiple clients on our platform,” said Sam Khashman, CEO of ImagineSoftware. “In repeated side by side evaluations, Prosper AI achieved the highest accuracy and completion rates.”

“We evaluated seven different vendors through an extensive RFP and live demonstration process and concluded that Prosper AI had the most comprehensive platform” said Jonathan Banta, CEO of The 44 Group, and Co-founder of The Executive Roundtable, a provider consortium representing more than 600 physicians. “The difference wasn't simply scheduling. Prosper AI was the only platform capable of handling insurance verification, patient financial responsibility, and the broader workflows required to support the entire patient journey.”

“Out of the gate, Prosper AI was handling more than 50% of our patient conversations end-to-end, including complex cases involving real-time benefits verification,” said Noah England, COO of Piedmont Dermatology. “Many organizations using other AI solutions remain stuck at 20–30% automation because those systems stop at scheduling.
