Sabanto is expanding at a time when farmers are facing higher equipment and input costs, labor shortages, and increasing pressure to improve productivity. Many growers need more affordable ways to stay profitable.
While large equipment manufacturers continue to build bigger and more expensive machines, Sabanto offers a lower cost alternative. Its retrofit autonomy platform allows farmers to upgrade the equipment they already own, helping them improve efficiency without investing in new high priced machinery.
By allowing tractors to run autonomously during planting and other field work, Sabanto helps farmers operate their equipment for longer hours, even outside normal working times. This also reduces their reliance on seasonal labor. With autonomous tractors handling routine tasks, farmers can focus their skilled workers on logistics, crop management and expanding their operations.
Sabanto's retrofit technology lets farmers continue using smaller, lighter tractors instead of investing in larger machines. This can help reduce soil compaction, improve soil health, and support better crop productivity over time. The system also improves efficiency by reducing overlaps, cutting idle time and keeping equipment on more consistent routes which can help lower fuel use during field operations.
“Farmers today need solution's that improve efficiency without requiring massive capital expenditures,” said Paimun Amini VP of Agriculture Venture Investment's at Leaps by Bayer. Sabantos retrofit model offer's a scalable, and practical pathway to autonomy especially in todays challenging farm economy.
“This investment represents a major step forward in bringing practical autonomy to more farms,” said Craig Rupp, CEO and founder of Sabanto. “We believe the workhorse of the future is smaller equipment. Our retrofit approach allows farmers to shift labor toward higher-value tasks, increase operating hours, and ultimately focus on growing their business and their bottom line.
