Simplilearn Partners with Virginia Tech to Launch A Certificate Program

Simplilearn, a global digital upskilling company, announced the launch of its Cloud Computing and DevOps Certification Program in partnership with Virginia Tech.

The program is designed to help professionals build skills in multi cloud environments, DevOps practices, and emerging technologies like Generative AI for cloud systems. It combines academic learning with hands-on training to help learners design, deploy and manage modern cloud infrastructure and automation systems.

The program is designed to help close the growing cloud and DevOps skills gap by giving learners complete training across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, along with real-world DevOps practices.

The learning experience combines live instructor-led classes, official AWS and Azure content, hands-on lab environments, peer collaboration, and masterclasses from Virginia Tech instructors. Learners will complete more than 150 hours of training, including over 30 hands-on projects, 200+ practice tests, and interactive labs that simulate real enterprise cloud and DevOps environments.

The curriculum guides learners from the basics of cloud computing to advanced cloud architecture and DevOps management across both on-premise, and cloud environments. It covers important topics such as CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration and infrastructure-as-code, along with emerging areas like AIOps, MLOps, DevSecOps, GitOps, edge computing and generative AI in cloud platforms.

To apply these skill's, learner's complete a capstone project based on real world cloud and DevOps scenarios. This hands on experience helps them build a professional portfolio that matches industry needs.

After completing the program, learners will receive a joint digital badge and downloadable certificate from Virginia Tech and Simplilearn, along with official Microsoft Azure certificates for selected modules. Learners will also qualify for a Virginia Tech Continuing Education alumni membership on LinkedIn and gain access to Simplilearn’s AI-powered career support services, including job tracking tools, resume builders, mock interviews, and career workshops.
