Tacton Appoints Merlin Knott as Chief Commercial Officer

In his new role, Knott will lead Tacton’s global commercial teams, including marketing, sales and pre-sales. He will focus on bringing the company’s solutions to market and creating value for customers and partners worldwide.

Knott brings decades of experience in building and growing commercial teams in the enterprise software industry.

Before joining Tacton, he held senior leadership roles at IFS, where he led global partner and channel operations before becoming President of its Enterprise Service Management business. Under his leadership, IFS’s partner network contributed more than 40% of software license revenue.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Knott will lead Tactons global commercial strategy, focusing on customer growth and expansion across North America, and EMEA. He will also work to improve coordination across regions and support long-term business growth.

His appointment comes as Tacton continues to scale its global operations and strengthen its position as a technology partner for manufacturers of complex products.
