Timeshifter Raises New Funding Led by Skip Capital

Apr 16, 2026 | By Startuprise io

Timeshifter, a NYC-based provider of a jet lag app, has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by Skip Capital.

The round also saw participation from Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, Axiom Space Chief Astronaut Michael López-Alegría, The Points Guy Founder Brian Kelly, and other strategic investors.

The company plans to use the funds to speed up its expansion into jet lag, shift work, and healthcare.

Timeshifter turns complex circadian science into simple, practical products that help solve problems affecting billions of people. Its first product, a jet lag app, is the most-downloaded in the world and has shown that this science can be turned into an easy-to-use, scalable consumer app. It has reached over 1.6 million users, with nearly 500,000 new users in 2025 alone.

Based on more than 130,000 post-flight surveys, 96.4% of users who followed the app’s advice avoided severe jet lag. When the advice was not followed, users reported much higher levels of severe jet lag. The company also works with major travel partners like United Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts to offer its solution.

Timeshifter has also launched a shift-work app using the same technology to help workers manage fatigue and improve their health. Since nearly 20% of workers globally work shifts, the app is being adopted across industries like healthcare, energy, logistics, and transportation.

Timeshifter also offers concierge services for astronauts and elite athletes worldwide. This includes Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, who used the Timeshifter protocol during his 2016 championship season, as well as athletes preparing for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, such as Team USA gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin. It is also used by Wimbledon Mixed Doubles Champion Sem Verbeek, NBA teams, top-10 men’s tennis players, leading international cycling teams, top soccer teams, and other high-performance athletes.

In its 2020 report, the Global Wellness Summit predicted that circadian technology would grow from a niche idea into a mainstream solution that changes how people live, travel, work and receive healthcare. Timeshifter’s progress and new funding show that this prediction is now becoming reality, marking a major turning point for the industry.

“We have known for decades that circadian clocks control almost every function in the human body, including sleep, alertness, metabolism, and the immune system,” said Mickey Beyer-Clausen, Co-Founder and CEO of Timeshifter. He added that ignoring circadian biology has major human and financial costs, with travelers suffering jet lag, shift workers facing health and safety risks, athletes competing at the wrong times, and treatments being less effective. Timeshifter is working to fix this by building tools that help people better manage circadian timing for improved performance, safety, and health.

“In Formula 1, winning and losing depend on very small differences,” said Nico Rosberg, 2016 Formula 1 World Champion and investor in Timeshifter. He said that during his championship season, having more energy and mental focus in key moments made a big difference, and that even a small advantage can help decide a race and contribute to his World Championship win.

“As a founder, I’ve seen how unlocking human potential can transform people, teams, and businesses,” said Scott Farquhar, co-founder of Atlassian and Skip Capital, a new investor in Timeshifter. He said circadian technology can help people perform better, stay healthier, and do well in daily life. He also expressed excitement about Timeshifter turning advanced circadian science into simple tools that can improve the lives of billions.
