Ventas Names Andrew L. Wattula EVP Outpatient Medical & Research

Ventas, Inc. announced that Andrew L. Wattula has been appointed Executive Vice President, Outpatient Medical & Research, and CEO of Lillibridge Healthcare Services, the company's wholly owned property management and leasing subsidiary. He will assume the role in August 2026.

In his new role, Wattula will lead Ventas' outpatient medical and research business, which owns and manages properties connected to healthcare, research, and universities. He succeeds Peter J. Bulgarelli, who retired from the company in May 2026.

Wattula brings extensive experience in operations, leasing and tenant relations. Working alongside Ventas existing leadership teams, he will focus on improving operational performance and maximizing the value of the company's portfolio. He will report directly to Debra A. Cafaro, Chairman and CEO of Ventas.

Wattula is an experienced commercial real estate executive with more than 20 years of experience in operations, strategy, and leasing. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Hudson Pacific Properties, where he oversaw operations for a 16.5 million-square-foot office and retail portfolio serving more than 1,000 tenants. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Beacon Capital Partners and Hines.

Before entering the real estate industry, Wattula served as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy, leading teams responsible for operations, training, budgeting, and personnel development. He served as a mission commander overseas and received the Navy Air Medal for his service.

Wattula earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also serves on the Leadership Council of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is actively involved in supporting pediatric pulmonary research and healthcare initiatives.
