Vertiv Appoints Frieda He as Chief Procurement Officer

Frieda He brings nearly 20 years of experience in global procurement, and supply chain leadership across the automotive and electrification sectors, with strong expertise in managing large scale operations and supplier networks.

Most recently, from 2023 to 2026, she served as Chief Procurement Officer and a member of the Group Management Team at Polestar, where she managed over $3 billion in global spending, led supplier quality, and cost programs, supported R&D and operations and drove savings, governance and transformation during a period of major industry change.

Frieda He holds bachelor’s degrees in general studies and business/commerce from Northeast Normal University in China, and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford in England.

Before joining Polestar, Frieda He held senior roles at Volvo Cars, including Vice President and Head of Global Propulsion & Sustainability Procurement, where she managed over $9 billion in annual spending and supported the company’s shift toward electrification. She also worked on strengthening supply chains, improving supplier quality, advancing sustainability and compliance, and supporting major partnerships and transactions, with earlier experience in procurement and supply chain roles across China and the Asia-Pacific region focused on sourcing, cost management, and supplier development.
