Allegiant Partners with UNLV's College of Hospitality

Allegiant has partnered with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) William F. Harrah College of Hospitality to improve its customer experience. Through this partnership, the airline will provide customised customer service training to flight attendants across its network.

SUMMARY

  • Allegiant partnered with UNLV.
  • The programme will train flight attendants.
  • Allegiant operates two airlines.

The training programme was developed with hospitality experts at UNLV to match Allegiant's operations and customer service goals. The two-day sessions will be held at the airline's flight attendant bases.

During the training, crew members will learn about hospitality, emotional intelligence, communication and ways to improve customer interactions. The programme aims to help flight attendants provide consistent service across all flights and routes.

This is the first partnership of its kind between Allegiant and UNLV, bringing together the airline industry and hospitality education. The training programme will begin in November at Allegiant's East Coast bases and gradually expand to other locations by Spring 2027.

The launch comes as Allegiant continues to integrate Sun Country Airlines following the completion of its acquisition on May 13, 2026. Together, the two airlines have a fleet of nearly 200 aircraft and serve around 175 cities across the United States.

Continuous learning is essential in a dynamic industry like aviation," said Tyler Hollingsworth, Allegiants Chief Operating Officer. "This program encourages our teams to embrace new ideas, and apply fresh insights that can make a meaningful impact for in-flight team members."

"At the heart of exceptional service is human connection," said Finley Cotrone, Professor and Director of the Sands Center for Professional Development. "It has been a privilege to work with the humans who make up the flight attendant training team.

"As Allegiant continues to grow, investing in our flight attendants remains one of the most important investments we can make," said Nani Binder, Allegiant's Vice President of Inflight. "This training builds upon the incredible work our crews already do every day. Programs like this help elevate customer experience while recognizing the strengths, professionalism and care our team members bring to each flight."
