Cohen & Steers Appoints Amit Muni as Chief Financial Officer

Cohen & Steers, announced that Amit Muni has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective June 8, 2026. He will oversee the companys financial operations, financial strategy, and investor relations and will join the Executive Committee while reporting to CEO Joseph Harvey.
Amit Muni will succeed Michael Donohue who has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 17 October 2025. Donohue will continue in the interim role until 8 June 2026, and will then return to his position as Controller at Cohen & Steers Inc.
Amit Muni joins Cohen & Steers, Inc. from CI Financial Corp., where he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Canadian-based firm managing more than $550 billion in assets. Before joining CI Financial in 2021, he was CFO at WisdomTree, Inc.
He has also held senior finance and accounting roles at International Securities Exchange, Instinet Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and National Securities Clearing Corporation.

Joseph Harvey said that Amit Muni brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across public markets, asset and wealth management, and capital markets. He added that Muni’s background in strategic growth, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and investor relations will help support Cohen & Steers, Inc. as it expands its global real assets platform, private markets business, and wealth management capabilities.
Harvey also thanked Michael Donohue for his leadership as interim CFO, saying he helped strengthen the finance department, support the company’s return to organic growth, and advance several growth initiatives.
