Humble, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of autonomous, electric haulers, has raised $24 million in a Seed funding round led by Eclipse, with participation from Energy Impact Partners and others. The company plans to use the funds to develop new vehicles, expand its autonomous driving systems, start pilot projects, and begin initial production.
The Humble Hauler is a new version of the traditional tractor-trailer, built from the ground up using modern technology. It can handle various types of cargo and operate in warehouses, rail yards, and ports, with the first version designed to move shipping containers. Without a driver’s cab, it is much lighter than a standard Class 8 truck, allowing for new and more flexible logistics uses.
The Humble team is focused on safety and reliability from the start, with several backup systems and built-in safeguards to manage risks in changing work environments. As the fleet grows, the company will offer flexible vehicle designs to meet the needs of different industrial customers.
After building its prototype in under six months, the Humble team is working with leading logistics and supply chain companies to start autonomous testing and pilot programs. The funding will help develop next-generation vehicles, improve its autonomy system, launch early pilots, and begin initial manufacturing as it moves toward operating on public roads.

The new vehicle design provides 360° awareness using cameras, LiDAR, and radar, enabling smooth dock-to-dock operations. It is powered by advanced vision-language-action models that help it understand situations and make the right decisions, even in new scenarios, thereby improving safety and accelerating time-to-market. Its electric system reduces fuel costs and maintenance needs, allowing goods to be transported without human involvement while supporting sustainability goals.
In the U.S. alone, the truck freight industry is a $906 billion market, yet progress in autonomous trucking has been limited despite driver shortages and supply chain challenges. Humble aims to solve these issues with a Class 8 solution that can unload directly at the dock, making freight movement more affordable, and efficient. By using advanced AI, the company plans to increase capacity, and improve margins, even on the most difficult routes.

"I have dedicated my career to building electric and autonomous vehicle technology," said Eyal Cohen, Humble's founder and CEO. "For the first time, freight can be fully automated all the way to the loading dock. We are making freight sustainable, safe and efficient in a way no one thought was possible. And we're doing it with an exceptional team of industry veterans and AV experts — our first vehicle was completed in just six months."
"Humble is operating at an unprecedented pace," said Jiten Behl, Partner at Eclipse and Humble board member. "They understand that autonomous trucking isn't just a software problem — it requires a full-stack rethink across hardware, AI, and electrification. That integration is what unlocks speed to scale and a step-change reduction in the cost of moving freight."
