National Life Group Names Brenda Betts to Its Board of Directors

National Life Group announced at its annual meeting that Brenda Betts has been elected to its Board of Directors.

Before retiring from Ernst & Young, Brenda Betts served as an audit partner with more than 35 years of experience working with public and private financial services companies.

She specialized in insurance sectors including life and health, property and casualty, commercial insurance, as well as wealth and asset management. She is also qualified as a financial expert under the rules of the SEC, NYSE, NASDAQ, and NAIC.

Brenda Betts previously served on the boards of the San Antonio Museum of Art and the National Charity League Heart of Texas Chapter. She was also actively involved in leadership, diversity, and inclusion initiatives at Ernst & Young, including mentoring younger female executives working in the insurance industry.

Brenda Betts earned an MBA in Finance and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Kentucky. She also completed the Harvard Business School–EY Journey to the Boardroom Program and the Executive Program at Kellogg School of Management.
