Revelyst Appoints of Dave Mellon as President

Dave Mellon began his role on May 18 and is relocating to Bozeman, where he will be based at the Revelyst Inc. Bozeman Innovation Center, the headquarters for Outdoor Performance.

In this position, he will focus on strengthening Simms’ and the Outdoor Performance brands’ omni-channel strategy, building stronger partnerships with specialty retailers, and driving product innovation. He will also work with cross-functional teams to support retail collaboration and help deliver the next phase of growth through consumer-focused innovation and execution.

Dave Mellon is an experienced outdoor industry leader with a strong background in building and scaling consumer brands across apparel and equipment companies. He previously served as CEO of Grundéns and, from 2012 to 2014, worked at Simms Fishing Products as Vice President of Marketing and Product. More recently, he was CEO of Kian Capital’s private equity portfolio.

Throughout his career, he has delivered growth, improved operations, and expanded brands across different business types by focusing on a disciplined, consumer-driven omni-channel strategy.

Dave Mellon is a purpose-driven leader who believes strong brands are built through authentic experiences and close connections with their communities. He has led global teams of more than 250 employees and managed businesses generating over $400 million in annual revenue. His experience in leading teams, navigating complex markets, and delivering customer-focused growth will support the continued development and expansion of Revelyst Outdoor Performance and Simms Fishing Products.
