Omni Raises $120M in Series C Funding, at $1.5B Valuation

Omni, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI Analytics platform, has raised $120 million in a Series C funding round led by ICONIQ, with participation from existing investors Theory Ventures, First Round Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and GV, and including a $30M employee tender offer.

The company is valued at $ 1.5 Billion. The company plans to use the funds to grow its operations and continue developing its products.

As companies try to connect AI to their data, many efforts fail. Most AI tools don’t understand business context, ignore permissions, and produce results that people can’t verify or trust. This has created a growing gap between how much companies spend on AI and how accurate or useful it actually is.

Omni was built to solve this problem. It uses a semantic model that consolidates business metrics, logic and permissions in a single place. This model powers dashboards, spreadsheets, SQL queries and AI tools, so when AI runs a query, it follows the same rules and definitions as a data analyst. The result is more accurate, trusted answers, combining strong business intelligence with reliable AI.

The approach is working at scale. BambooHR launched its Elite Analytics product to over 30,000 users in four months and now serves more than 100,000 users with Omni. Cribl rolled out self-service AI analytics across the company within 3 months of moving to Omni, while Guitar Center replaced multiple BI tools with Omni to create a single, reliable data foundation for all teams.

Omni extends its capabilities beyond its core platform by enabling users to access governed data through tools such as Claude, ChatGPT Cursor and Visual Studio Code. These queries follow the same business rules and permissions as in Omni, so users can work in their usual tools while keeping data accurate and secure making Omni a strong foundation for both internal, and external AI use.

“The barrier in data has shifted from access to understanding,” said Matt Jacobson, Partner at ICONIQ. “Everyone can ask questions, but without a shared layer of business context, the answers can break down. We believe the real problem was never accessibility — it was trust. And we believe Omni is building the missing layer. Data analytics is one of the top workloads for AI agents, and Omni is building a governed data layer to help those agents get it right. We believe they will be the leading platform in the data analytics category.”

"There’s relevant, untapped business context everywhere," said Sarah Fischbach, Staff Analytics Engineer at Checkr. "Omni stands out because it makes all of our knowledge structured and durable for smarter AI. It gets more valuable as more people and more AI tools depend on it. Building in Omni’s governed context graph lets us capture institutional knowledge that compounds."

"AI isn’t replacing analytics, it’s expanding it,” said Colin Zima, CEO & co-founder of Omni. “Dashboards and spreadsheets aren’t going away, but now anyone can get instant answers without technical expertise. To capture that advantage, you need to build for it. This is how data work is changing. Our customers are already doing it — they’re encoding their business context and using AI to work smarter.”

About Omni

Founded in 2022, by Colin, Jamie and Chris, Omni is an AI analytics platform that turns company data into a trusted source for AI. It uses a semantic model to manage shared metrics, permissions and version control, creating a single governed data layer for the business.
